The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Associate Pastor for Family Ministries position at First Presbyterian Church would be an ordained individual with experience in family ministry, youth ministry, and children's ministry. They should possess strong leadership, supervision, coaching, and communication skills to mentor and develop ministry staff, create a discipleship vision, and support all ministry teams. They should also have a passion for evangelism and spiritual development and be able to develop and sustain ministries that encourage parents and families to grow together in Christ.

Key Responsibilities 

• Mentor and hire ministry staff, train, and coach volunteers
• Provide vision, support, and oversight for ministry teams
• Develop discipleship pathway for children and students
• Lead Family Ministries in developing Christ-centered community
• Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of all family ministries

Qualifications

• Ordained or on track for ordination
• Strong leadership and supervision skills
• Experience in family ministry and/or children and youth ministry
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to cast vision and develop a strategy for ministry growth
